Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation ward

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation ward at Life Hospital is located in the Balkan Mountains, next to the Black Sea coast in the town of Sveti Vlas. The town is known as famous sea resort – it has beautiful beach, port, newly built and old churches and eco paths. The area combines clean mountain air, sea climate and beautiful scenery. It is characterized by a Mediterranean climate, featuring mixing mountain and sea air masses, suitable for the treatment of the respiratory system diseases throughout the year.

The Ward has 30 beds, each room has its own bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV. During the summer season, guests can enjoy an outdoor pool with sun lounge and umbrellas. The building of the ward is located next to the Active treatment Hospital building where 24/7 there is doctors on duty.

In the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation ward we treat all kinds of diseases of the muscle-skeletal system (arthritis, coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, spondyloarthrosis), rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery (artificial hip and knee joints), fractures, post-arthroscopic conditions, diseases of the peripheral nervous system (discopathy, plexitis, radiculitis, diabetic polyneuropathy, etc.), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, post-stroke and infarction conditions, CCP. The department is equipped with new and modern physiotherapy equipment. It has specialized cabinets for electrotherapy, magnetic therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, salon for physiotherapy exercises, water treatment and lymphotherapy. The physiotherapy exercises lounge is equipped with a Roche cell, kinesitherapeutic mechanisms and a massage cabinet. Combined tangentor -pearl tubs are installed in the water treatment sector to successfully respond to orthopedics and neurological diseases.

The Ward offers the newest and most modern Apparatus for Physiotherapy – Magnetic therapy, Laser Therapy, Electrotherapy, Light Treatment, Pressotherapy, Ultrasound Therapy. The gymnastics salon is equipped with Roche cells, special couturier couches, a trail, a bicycle, a telfer, a therapeutic band, vibratory massage collars, kinesitherapy mechanisms. There is no mineral water spring on the territory of the town but for your treatment and prevention, we work with Mud, which is extracted from Pomorie and Burgas Lake. The Department has a Thermotherapy cabinet – mud compresses. They are mainly applied to diseases of the loco-motor system; in rheumatic diseases (gonarthrosis, coxarthrosis, spondylarthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Behterev’s disease, infectious arthritis); in traumatic-orthopedic diseases (soft tissue injuries, bones, sprains, sprains, fractures); in neurological diseases (neuralgia, neuritis, plexitis, discopathy). The applied mud contains all the ingredients of seawater, but in a higher concentration that the regular mud.
